Quoting Latvia's Edgars Caics, Swedish Masters this year will be held in "some strange place".
Thats is not the whole truth. The Swedish tablehockey association is proud to present Överum as
the host of SM 2009. The unique atmosphere of a small southern Swedish village – the enthusiasm
of not only the organizers but also the local authorities and the villagers themselves – make us
believe that this years Swedish Masters will be something very special. Yes, Edgars – the friendly
spirit and rural surroundings are strange if you compare to the semi-ghettos of Goteborg or
Stockholm. But we are sure that Överum will take you all by surprise.
However, it is not only picturesque. Since more than a decade (when Rickard Sjöstedt introduced
the village to our lovely sport) Överum has become one of the most professional and successfull
organizers in Sweden.
And the village is easy to reach by train, bus or car.
Welcome to a weekend with tablehockey as good as ever – in an environment where we all go back to
our roots.
